Dr. Ankita Mittal

Dr. Ankita Mittal did her MBBS (2011) and MS (2014) from the prestigious Pt. B. D. Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. After a brief spell of senior residency at her alma mater, she went to Munich in pursuit of her passion for laparoscopy. There she did her first fellowship in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery at a referral center for laparoscopy and endometriosis under Dr. Otto Kabdebo and Dr. Robert Theiss. After coming back to India, she completed the ICOG certificate course in gynaecological endoscopy under the aegis of Dr. Pragnesh Shah (Ahmedabad). In January 2016, she came back to Gurgaon, her home town and joined Artemis hospital (Gurgaon) where she worked till April, 2019. At present she does her OPDs at her clinics in Palam Vihar and DLF Phase IV and at UPHI Hospital, Golf course road and is a visiting consultant to various reputed hospitals in the city (Max, C K Birla, Cloud nine and Columbia Asia).

Having worked at various tertiary care centres she has extensive experience in handling pregnancy (including high risk pregnancies) and delivery cases and treating a wide range of gynaecological issues of all age groups. She has undergone intensive training in performing various gynaecological surgeries including open and laparoscopic surgeries.

Not just a competent gynaecologist, Dr. Mittal is also a keen academician. She was an active member of the postgraduate teaching programmes at Pt. B. D. S. PGIMS, Rohtak and at Artemis Hopsital, Gurgaon. She herself was the university topper in Obstetrics and Gynaecology during her speciality training and was the first runner up at the Torrent Young Scholar award (North zone- 2013). She has published as well as reviewed articles for numerous international journals of repute. She regularly participates in various national and international scientific conferences and has delivered multiple oral and video presentations. Her presentation on “Deep infiltrating endometriosis” at the FOGSI, IAGE annual conference- “The ultimate advances in Gynaecology” (2015) was awarded the runner’s up prize for best paper (oral/ video). The abstract for her e- poster at the recently held RCOG World Congress, 2018 (Singapore) was selected among the top 500 abstracts globally.
